Edification
and the verb to edify is the predominant task of the church today.
Believers are to be actively involved in edifying one-another for the
purpose of the building up the body.
Ephesians
4:11-12 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some
prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,12 for the
equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of
the body of Christ,
As the
church, body of believers, is built up they are then able to carry out the
ministry God has designed for them. The major problem in the church
today is the lack of pastor / teachers who have a plan and ability to equip
the saints for the edification of the body. The heart of the process
is teaching, not only the presentation of information, but the process of
building it into believer's lives through a unified process. |

The Path to
Godliness Leads through the Valley of Suffering |
|
1 Peter 1:6-7 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,.

Rejoice in
the midst of Sufferings |
|
1 Cor. 12:24-25 but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, 25 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.
1 Peter 1:6-7 In
this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary,
you have been grieved by various trials,
7 so that
the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold
that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to
result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of
Jesus Christ. |
