Believers
now have access into the 'holiest' the very presence of God through Jesus
Christ. And, we not only have access, but we have 'boldness' to come
before our God and Father as His children. Believers have become the
very Temple of God, the dwelling place of God!
This is a
radically different relationship with God that was available to the Jews and
the terms to describe this relationship have changed. We do not come
before our Father with fear as humble subjects before the sovereign, we can
now approach Him as our 'Abba Father.'
This new
relationship in no way diminishes the absolute omnipotence or holiness of
God, but it allows us as His children to understand His love in a new and
wonderful manner.

Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom;
and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,

we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

brethren, having boldness

enter the Holiest

the blood of Jesus,

veil, that is, His flesh,

Godliness Leads through the Valley of Suffering |

1 Peter 1:6-7 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,.

Eph 5:23 For the husband is
the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church,
his body, and is himself its Savior.

Rejoice in
the midst of Sufferings |

1 Peter 1:6-7 In
this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary,
you have been grieved by various trials,
7 so that
the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold
that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to
result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of
Jesus Christ. |

The Body |
|
Romans 12:4-5 For as in one body we have many
members, and the members do not all have the same function, so
we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually
members one of another. |
