Rom. 13:12-14 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off (659 apotiqhmi ) the works of darkness,

Eph. 4:22 that you put off (659 apotiqhmi ) , concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,  

25 Therefore, putting away (659 apotiqhmi ) lying,

·         ["Let] each one [of you] speak truth with his neighbor,"

·         for we are members of one another.  

·         26 "Be angry, and do not sin":

·         do not let the sun go down on your wrath,  

·         27 nor give place to the devil.  

·         28 Let him who stole steal no longer,

·         but rather let him labor, working with [his] hands what is good,

·         that he may have something to give him who has need.  

·         29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth,

·         but what is good for necessary edification,

·         that it may impart grace to the hearers.  

31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away (142) from you, with all malice.  

Col. 3:5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.   6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience,   7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.   But now you yourselves are to put off (659 apotiqhmi ) all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.   9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off (554 apekduomai )  the old man with his deeds,
