The New Testament has given
instructions concerning the relationship believers are to
have for other members of the body. A portion of these
commands have been given by God in a "one-another" format.
These biblical imperatives form the basis of a spiritual
ministry each believer is to have to one-another locally,
and to the global body of Christ.
It is an absolute
necessity that the focus of the body ministering to itself
be that of a spiritual nature. If this is not the case, the
great disparity of financial and material goods between some
members of the global body can and will be a great hindrance
to the body truly ministering to itself as God has
commanded.
Every member must do its
share, as God has designed it, and that ministry should
always emphasize the spiritual over the material.

Col 1:18 And he is the head
of the body, the body. He is the beginning, the firstborn from
the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. |

The Path to
Godliness Leads through the Valley of Suffering |
|
1 Peter 5:8-10 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Eph 5:23 For the husband is
the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church,
his body, and is himself its Savior.

Rejoice in
the midst of Sufferings |
|
1 Peter 5:8-10 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
1 Peter 1:6-7 In
this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary,
you have been grieved by various trials,
7 so that
the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold
that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to
result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of
Jesus Christ. |

The Body |
|
Romans 12:4-5 For as in one body we have many
members, and the members do not all have the same function, so
we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually
members one of another. |
