γινώσκω, (1097) signifies to be taking in knowledge, to come to know, recognize, understand, or to understand completely[1]

Luke 1:34-35  Then Mary said to the angel, How shall this be, since I do not know a man?  35  And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit shall come on you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you. Therefore also that Holy One which will be born of you shall be called Son of God.

John 17:1-3  Jesus spoke these words and lifted up His eyes to Heaven and said, Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son so that Your Son also may glorify You,  2  even as You have given Him authority over all flesh so that He should give eternal life to all You have given Him.  3  And this is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

John 1:9-13  He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.  10  He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, and the world did not know Him.  11  He came to His own, and His own received Him not.  12  But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name,  13  who were born, not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God.

John 14:16-20  And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may be with you forever,  17  the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you.  18  I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.  19  Yet a little while and the world does not see Me any more. But you see Me. Because I live, you shall live also.  20  At that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

John 10:14-15  I am the Good Shepherd, and I know those that are Mine, and I am known by those who are Mine.  15  Even as the Father knows Me, I also know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep.

John 10:27-30  My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.  28  And I give to them eternal life, and they shall never ever perish, and not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand.  29  My Father who gave them to me is greater than all, and no one is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand.  30  I and the Father are one!

John 13:34-35  I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. As I have loved you, you should also love one another.  35  By this all shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love toward one another.

Eph 3:14-19  For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  15  of whom the whole family in Heaven and earth is named,  16  that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;  17  that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  18  may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height,  19  and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge [1108], that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.

γνwvσις , (1108)), primarily a seeking to know, an enquiry, investigation (akin to A, No. 1), denotes, in the N.T., knowledge, especially of spiritual truth[2]

Phil. 3:8-11  But no, rather, I also count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them to be dung, so that I may win Christ  9  and be found in Him; not having my own righteousness, which is of the Law, but through the faith of Christ, the righteousness of God by faith,  10  that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death;  11  if by any means I might attain to the resurrection of the dead.

1 John 2:3-5  And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commandments4  He who says, I have known Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him5  But whoever keeps His Word, truly in this one the love of God is perfected. By this we know that we are in Him.

1 John 3:16-20  By this we have known the love of God, because He laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.  17  But whoever has this world's goods and sees his brother having need, and shuts up his bowels from him, how does the love of God dwell in him?  18  My children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.  19  And in this we shall know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him,  20  that if our heart accuses us, God is greater than our heart and knows all things.

The Church

Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the body. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.

The Path to Godliness Leads through the Valley of Suffering

1 Corinthians 12:26-27  And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.  27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

The Church

Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.

Rejoice in the midst of Sufferings

1 Peter 5:8-10 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 1 Peter 1:6-7 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

The Body

Romans 12:4-5 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
